Request #19-3125

this is a public records request for all memoranda, emails and internal correspondences circulated to or from Mayor LaToya Cantrell and/or Department of Public Works Director Keith LaGrange Jr. between April 17, 2019 and the date this request is processed that contain the word "recycling."

Under the Public Records Act of Louisiana (R.S. 44:1 et seq), no fees may be legally charged for the labor of determining whether records are public or for the labor of segregating them from non-public records. The records custodian may, at their discretion, charge fees for physical materials, such as paper or CD-ROMs. If such fees apply, please send me a fee estimate before carrying out the request.

Should you determine any of the requested materials to be exempt from public disclosure, I would also request, in writing, a list of each document being withheld, along with a basis under the law for your contention that each record is exempt from the Public Records Act. See La. R.S. 44:32(D)

If the request is too broad to process in a timely manner, please contact me to discuss releasing the information in batches.

I look forward to a response within three days as required by the Public Records Act. I can be contacted with questions at or at 661-542-1654.

Thank you,

-Chris McCrory
