Pursuant to the Public Records Act of Louisiana, R.S. 44:1 et seq., we request copies of the public records described below. For purposes of this request, the term “documents” includes, but is not limited to, any memoranda, letters, electronic mail or “e-mail,” handwritten, typed, or electronic notes, recordings of any kind and in any form (video, audio, digital, etc.)

  1. All documents and records pertaining to 911, 311 or other calls for service originating from 600 Frenchman Street from January 1, 2019 to present.
  2. All documents and records pertaining to 911, 311 or other calls for service originating from phone number (504) 302-1772 from January 1, 2019 to present. 
  3. All audio, documents and records pertaining to a call for service placed from 600 Frenchman Street on July 8, 2019 between 8 pm and 10 pm.

The City does not have records responsive to your request #2. Records responsive to your request #1 and #3 have been compiled and are available for your review. In addition to the body-worn camera video provided in response to your Public Records Request # 19-4371, another body-worn camera video is responsive to your request #2.

You may purchase the records for $59.00 [$30.00 (body-worn camera video); $25.00 (police report for Item # G-11299-19); $4.00 (Computer Assisted Dispatch reports, 8 pages @ $0.50/page)].

 

To review or purchase your records in person, please contact the City Attorney's Office Public Records Team at 504-658-9800 to schedule a day and time.

Fees - We accept cash (please pay exact amount), check, or money order payable to the City of New Orleans

Mail or pick-up - You may remit payment and retrieve the records directly from our receptionist. Or you may mail payment to our office; upon receipt of payment we will mail the records to the address you provide.
