Under the Louisiana Public Records Act § 44:1 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records that are described as “Entergy’s production included 459 pages of documents in response to the City Council’s original document requests and your subsequent requests using Entergy’s original 14 search terms and the 32 additional search terms you provided. Entergy’s production included 459 pages of documents and The Hawthorn Group provided to Entergy during it’s internal investigation, as well as the documents provided by Crowds on Demand. In addition, The Hawthorn Group produced 1,152 pages of documents directly to you in response to your request for production.” in a correspondence dated 10/17/2018 from Entergy to Judge Calvin Johnson and Attorney Matt Coman.
If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me if the cost will exceed $50.00. However, I would also like to request a waiver of all fees in that the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest and will contribute significantly to the public’s understanding of the New Orleans Power Station Litigation. This information is not being sought for commercial purposes.
Section 44:32(D) of the Louisiana Public Records Act requires a response within three business days. If access to the records I am requesting will take longer than that time period, please contact me with information about when I might expect copies or the ability to inspect the requested records.
If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under the law.
Thank you for considering my request.
